Rockymarsh Run and Woods

 

Sundogs is located within the 17 square mile Rockymarsh Run watershed. The Run is fed primarily from numerous springs and is active year-round, meandering for about 16 miles before reaching the Potomac River. Once completely surrounded by forest, the Run now travels through agricultural land and communities. We are fortunate to have a portion of Rockymarsh Run at the bottom of our property still surrounded by riparian forest. The sound of the cascading falls can be heard as far up as the meadow providing an open invitation for a discovery trip through the forest. The terrain is steep so please wear appropriate footwear for this journey.
